Palmetto after citrus

Citrus is March and April. The next named bloom on Florida Bee Botany is a different set: gallberry, saw palmetto, and cabbage palm, May through July.

That is the cited summer window. It is not a citrus story. It is not a harvest number. It is the paper's next row after orange, Poncirus, and mandarin.

May through July

  • **Gallberry.** A named nectar plant on the bee-botany paper. Dates: May–July.
  • **Saw palmetto.** Same window. Central Florida keepers talk about it because the paper does.
  • **Cabbage palm.** Same window. Not a substitute for the March–April citrus line.

If you skipped citrus, go back to citrus. If you are already in August, the calendar changes jobs: feed, mites, beetles, ventilate. See august.

Do not invent a palmetto-honey poundage. Sellers keep their own numbers. These pages name the bloom months UF published.
